It's always such a pleasure to participate in Sew Mama Sew's Giveaways, i have been a regular and wouldn't miss it.
Up for grabs here is one reversible set of bunting flags from my GrowMama vintage handmade babies and childrens range...made from upcycled vintage sheets and vintage fabric. The one here is clearly very pink...not my usual, if you would like one for your wee fellow, i will make one especially for him.
All you need to do is leave a comment. The Giveaway remains open until the 25th of May and at its' close i choose my 15 favourite comments. Yup, i read 'em all! The names all go into a hat and the smallest of the household pulls out the winner. And, just quietly...i always do a wee runner up prize too. I am more than happy to ship internationally.
If you haven't done so already, pop along to the Sew Mama Sew blog and peruse the lists of participants in May's Giveaway Day...it's an inspiring way to spend an evening, or two.
And, stay tuned for the Creative Mama series starting here on GrowMama very very soon.
Enjoy!

ReplyDeletei love your idea of choosing your favorite comments and then drawing from those. i think i might just use that idea for my next giveaway.
ReplyDeletei love vintage sheets. i've used them to make pillow covers for my couch and floor pillows to use on board game nights. i have plans to make a picnic blanket from them. i'd love to have a vintage sheet bunting! thanks for the chance.
That bunting would look soooo cute in my daughters room above the window, or even hanging on her bunk bed. That bag would make a great diaper bag. My little guy is 9 months. He is the cutest thing ever. Just prefect for some diapers and wipes.
ReplyDeleteI adore vintage sheets & bunting! What a fabulous combo! Love the winner picking idea! Too fun!
ReplyDeletethe bunting would be lovely in my girl's pink room. :)

ReplyDeleteMy daughters would love the pink bunting in their room.
ReplyDeleteThey are both getting an early start on craft projects. We recently started making things with beads and my craft/hobby room is looking very colorful! So much fun though having mother / daughter time doing something that we all enjoy so much.
i love bunting, but am too lazy to make it myself....or should I say my kids rooms?
ReplyDeletelimes.sweet(at)gmail(dot)com

ReplyDeletebunting is always so fun. and the pink would work great for us. two girls who share a room and both LOVE pink!! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI love that you use vintage sheets and fabrics. We all need to reuse and recycle as much as possible. Thanks for going your part. Love the flags and the bag. Have an amazing summer.
ReplyDeletelauri dot rymar at gmail dot com
Wow, love them! The vintage linens remind me of my grandma in the best possible way.
ReplyDeleteAnd so happy to have found your blog!
What a fun way to reuse sheets! I found some old white ones cleaning out my grandma's closets and tye-dyed them - been making little sun hats out of them for the summer months!

ReplyDeletelibbystiles(at)hotmail(dot)com
Oh the bunting is lovely!
ReplyDeleteAnd well, the bag, I've got a bit of an addiction so that's lovely too.
Creative goodies and a creative way to pick a winner :)
Anissa - will it be karma this year that brings your giveaway to me?! I adore both of your lovely makes. Bunting is something I keep meaning to make but just never seem to get around to. Just so very cute. And of course, I had to jump into another quilting bee that uses vintage sheets because the first one was too much fun. :) Hope you're enjoying giveaway day this go round! I know I am.
ReplyDeleteskooksplayground[at]gmail[dot]com
love love love how cute they look! would love a bag for myself and bunting for the little one!
ReplyDeleteykatrina at hotmail dot com
I love bunting but never take the time to make some for us. My daughters' room is yellow with pink curtains and their names in pink so this would just fit right in. The little boy will eventually move over there...but we'll cross that bridge when it comes:)
ReplyDeleteShawna
Love your fabric choice, great blog!
ReplyDeletetonimv89@yahoo.com
Great giveaway, thanks for the chance to win! My girls would love the bunting to hang from their bunk beds. :)
ReplyDeleteokiedokiemama at yahoo dot com
Hi- thanks for doing this giveaway! The bunting is adorable.
ReplyDeleteI had to laugh at your bike + puddle pictures. We have had an extremely rainy May where I am, so lots of mud and puddles for the kids to play in. Just the other day I had to do the same exact thing you did- dump the water out of the boots and just let them dry :)
Great giveaway and such talent - you should be proud! Thanks bunches!
ReplyDeleteI love the 'something for the mama'. Like most mama's the kids come first and I'd love that cute little bag...all that fabric reminds me of my nana!
ReplyDeleteI stopped by due to the SewMamaSew link. I love the colors and patterns chosen for the bunting and the bag. I'm just sad that all of my friends have had boys!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! I love that bunting!! (And that's saying something... this is the first one I've seen that I've liked! Seriously!!!) I think I even have the same fabric waiting to upcycle (2nd picture bottom right flag). I just wish there was ONE more flag on it...so I could put my youngest daughter's name on it. (But I would love to have it for her regardless!!)
ReplyDeleteI also adore that purse/bag/tote!! If I'm going to be totally honest I'd probably use it as a purse/diaper bag. Until I no longer need the diaper bag. HA! :)
Feel free go visit my giveaway. :) http://3giraffesinc.blogspot.com/2011/05/sew-mama-sew-giveaway-day.html

I keep meaning to make a bunting for my craft room. I'll just try to win one instead.
ReplyDeleteanna [at] 64colorbox [dot] com
These are just lovely - both the bag and the bunting. :) My littles are one of each, but my guy is pretty fond of all things pink (his favorite after green), so a pink bunting would be very well received in our playroom. And while I'm generally not head-over-heels about bags, I'm really quite fond of this one. The style is quite nice and the fabric reminds me of some that I knew as a child. :) Thank you for taking part in Giveaway Day and for offering up some really great goodies!
ReplyDeletethanks for the chance to win such a lovely gift!
ReplyDeleteOh my, my girls and I love bunting! Thanks for the chance. :)

I know I'm jumping the gun but I've already got a window picked out for the bunting and a few outfits in mind that would look great with the bag :D Thanks for a generous giveaway, I'd be very excited if I won this!
ReplyDeletekate1485 at hotmail.com
I love buntings!! eep, if I may I decorate all my house in them but my husband would throw them out the window because he's so tall and the buntings might annoy him, and we have a really low ceiling. Anyhooo,, I love your blog title GrowMama! A mama can't stop growing can she?
ReplyDeleteWe love your bunting and bag... I have the perfect location for the bunting in mind...
ReplyDeletexo Steph
I appreciate that you read all of the comment instead of letting a computer decide! My daughter would love this bunting for her "big girl" room (which I still secretly wish was a "baby" room). My kids are growing up so fast! I wish they would just stay little for a bit longer. Your profile sounds so interesting. I would love to come visit some day!
ReplyDeleteWow! Wish I could sew as good as you!
ReplyDeleteMy girls would love the pink bunting. Thanks for the giveaway.

I love the bunting and the bag...they both are wonderful! I also loved your puddle pictures. In New Hampshire we have what we call mud season in the spring. One year I bought my daughter three pairs of mud boots because I thought they had holes in them...they were always wet inside. Come to find out, they were wet because she would take them off at the shallow pond so she could hold the tadpoles she was catching!!! I only learned this last year...and she is in college!
ReplyDeleteThe bunting is beautiful, I love that you've used recycled fabrics and the bag would be great for me to keep my current craft project in. Thanks so much for the chance to win this great prize!
ReplyDeleteAtoxim at gmail dot com
Thank you for the chance to win the bunting and the bag! On my To Do list I have a bunting. I want to make one for DD's 1st birthday. If I won I could move one to other projects! :)

I love these bunting flags! I have always had a soft spot for 60's inspired vintage, and I think it's fantastic that you are upcycling the fabric! We are moving soon, and the flags would look great in my 10 week old daughter's new room! Spice it up with some vintage flair! ;)

ReplyDeleteSome thought from my 2-year-old:
ReplyDeleteShe was looking at an ABC book with her dad. They were on the page with "Q".
Daddy: "What starts with Q?"
Sierra: "I don't know"
Daddy: "She a woman who wears a crown"
Sierra: "I don't know"
Daddy: "An important woman who makes all the rules"
Sierra: "MAMA!!"
Sierra: "Do I look like a pwetty gu-wol?"
Me: "You look like a beautiful girl."
Sierra (matter-of-factly): "Yeah. I thought so."
After going to the bathroom:
"That was an aaaahh-maaaaz-zing poop!"
this is a lot of pressure for a comment. I'll have to go with my favorite joke right now. (Technically, the only joke I can ever remember)
ReplyDeleteWhat did the snail say on the turtle's back?
"Wheeeeeee!"
Thanks for the giveaway.
My 3yo daughter would LOVE that bunting! Sadly her 6yo sister has had one for... well, 6 years, and I have never made her one. Poor second children!
ReplyDeleteHee hee mrs carter's joke is the only joke I know! I really do like your pretty bunting!
